As relevant today as ever.
who are we now?
We are the current incarnation of a species which has roamed this Earth for over 200,000 years. About two-hundred and fifty generations ago, we settled into civilizations. Less than three hundred years ago, we entered the first industrial revolution. We alive today are witnessing and participating in a mass extinction event caused by an exploding population and our unquestioning dominance over each other and the natural world. We are the generations tasked with reframing our understanding of ourselves and healing this beautiful world.
How hard can that be? (smile)
We Dare…
We dare to empty our cupboards of plastic food and tend to our own gardens instead. We are finding the dark places that have held us hostage. Some say we are Gaia’s immune system being awakened by the planet herself. We may make jackets for caterpillars, be lawyers, teachers, architects, mummas, scientists, planners, writers or dancers. Whatever we do, we are faithful to Life and are weaving our threads back in. We are taking this slowly. We listen to the heartbeat of the world. It’s five minutes to midnight and we are finally humbling ourselves.
